Are these the worst graphs ever drawn?

The Times Educational Supplement is a fantastic source of case studies of worst practice in graph design as regular readers of my blog will know (see here and here).

The following two examples are perhaps the worst I've ever seen. I shan't explain why these two graphs are so bad: I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader! (You can see larger images by clicking on the pictures below.)
