weekly TUITION and Support

I only offer tuition on a regular, weekly basis. I charge £240 per calendar month, payable in advance on the 1st of the month, which covers four one-hour lessons and additional support outside of lesson time (students can ask me questions online at pretty much any time of day or night). In addition, I’m very happy to talk to parents about progress and answer any questions they might have.

For short-term tutorial engagements, I charge £75 per hour.

UCAS ADVICE

I help students write their own personal statement and review the drafts that they write. I also offer advice on university entry in general, and specific guidance on applying to Oxford and Cambridge, including interview and test preparation. I charge £75 per hour for this, payable in advance.

Help with writing a UCAS personal statement typically takes two hours in two separate sessions of an hour each. This can be done online or over the phone – you do not need to come to my house if you do not live locally.

PAYMENT

I only accept payments made online. I do not accept cash or cheques.

Monthly fees are due in advance on the 1st of the month.

Please have a look at my academic qualifications and professional background as well as the outstanding feedback I have received from my students, their parents, and my teaching colleagues.

Private tuition is my full-time employment and I have substantial experience of working with students and helping them achieve the grades necessary to get into the university of their choice. I am not someone who tutors for a bit of extra cash but without any real commitment or experience. I have completed over 13,000 hours of private tuition since I started in 2006.

My skill lies in having a detailed understanding of examinations: the specifications, the exam papers and the marking process and an ability to make the mathematics simple and accessible to my students. I really want my students to succeed and do everything I can to help them achieve their goals.
